Transportation
The most popular way to reach Montserrat is by train from Barcelona. Take the R5 line (Barcelona-Manresa) from Plaça Espanya station. Get off at Aeri de Montserrat station for the cable car (Aeri) or at Monistrol de Montserrat station for the rack railway (Cremallera). The cable car offers stunning views, while the rack railway provides a more gradual ascent. Alternatively, you can drive to Montserrat, but parking can be limited, especially during peak season.
